Oxblood

Oxblood has taken red to the next level.  As an edgier approach on the classic red, oxblood has sunken in and is here stay.  While some may think that oxblood, a sumptuous blend of deep red, maroon, and purple is too "vampire" for them, don't be fooled.  This is no Twilight.  Oxblood has a certain sophisticated, luxurious feel to it and a bonus, oxblood can be paired with virtually any color.  Whether you are looking to just accessorize with this sensual crimson hue or strut decked out in fall's most anticipated color, you will most definitely be a standout.  If you don't believe me, look to almost any magazine or celebrity.  Oxblood has kissed the lips of women like Lauren Conrad, Rihanna, and of course, Kristen Stewart.  These beautiful ladies look strong and fierce with a slight edge sporting their oxblood lips.  However, oxblood does not only come in the form of lipstick.  Oxblood popped up multiple times on the Fall Runway.  From Jason Wu to Acne, Christian Siriano, and Nanette Lepore.  Oxblood received a warm welcome as a fall staple.  If you are still worried that if you wear oxblood, you'll look like you've just been bitten by Edward (which hey, would mean you would have been graced by the cool lips of Edward Cullen), even the slightest of color will finish any outfit.

Fashion-

November

With fall coming to an end, November is a month to mix your favorites from fall and integrate them with the up and coming winter trends.  I'm thinking oxblood, colored cords, and ankle boots.  Oxblood, a mix of deep red, maroon, and a hint of purple was an emerging fall staple, ranging from nail polish to scarves, pencil skits and leather jackets.  Colored cords are a fall/winter must have.  While spring was all about the colored jeans, her colder, more sophisticated older sister has made her way as a standout.  Finally, you can never go wrong with ankle boots.  From flats to platforms and every heel height in between, ankles boots are a guaranteed success for any outfit.
